Illuminated Canvas

Little Artists in this Mixed Media studio, created a large decoupage painting of a subject of their choice, using all sorts of materials such as tissue paper, acrylic paint, and string.

When their work was completely dry, a small string of lights was poked through and secured onto the back of their canvas illuminating the subject.

A group discussion happened at the end of the class to discuss each other’s work.  This is a great time to share what we thought was easy, hard, things we would do differently next time and also give compliments to each other about the work completed.

Artists painted woodland animal birthday parties in park, a stadium soccer game, a midnight campfire with fireflies, a city skyline at night, and a Gustuv Klimt inspired tree.
